TRTC Web SDK v4.x Maintenance Mode Notice
TRTC Web SDK v4.x has been serving a large number of users since its release, helping developers build many excellent real-time audio and video applications. We sincerely appreciate the trust and support from all our users.
With the evolution of technology and business needs, we have launched TRTC Web SDK v5.x, which offers significant improvements in performance, stability, and usability. To better focus our resources on providing higher quality services, v4.x has entered maintenance mode.
What Does Maintenance Mode Mean
- No New Features: v4.x will no longer receive feature updates. New capabilities will only be available in v5.x.
- Adjusted Issue Resolution Policy: For general issues, we recommend upgrading to v5.x as the solution. For security vulnerabilities or critical defects that may severely impact business operations, we will evaluate and address them on a case-by-case basis.
- Continued Availability: v4.x remains available through npm, CDN, and other distribution channels.
Upgrade Recommendations
We understand that some projects may have migration costs, but we strongly recommend upgrading to v5.x when possible to benefit from:
- Better performance and flexible plugin system
- Enhanced browser compatibility
- Continuous feature updates and bug fixes
- More responsive technical support

If your project cannot migrate at this time, please note:
- Update to the Latest v4.x Version: We recommend upgrading to the final stable version of v4.x for the best experience within this version line.
- Review Known Issues: Please refer to WebRTC Known Issues and Solutions to understand potential issues and workarounds.
- Be Aware of Compatibility Risks: As browsers continue to update, compatibility issues with older SDK versions may arise. We cannot guarantee adaptations for v4.x in such cases.
